Personality
Austin is an incredibly arrogant and self-obsessed lawyer. He is convinced that he is quite possibly one of the most intelligent men to ever live, and is without doubt one of the most beautiful. In particular, he believes that his left arm is the most fabulous looking appendage in the history of creation, and is so beautiful he has even named it. He looks down on everyone in the party, and finds their lack of style and brains a constant torture. He is cowardly, yet quick to criticise the others, but if they were in genuine trouble, he would help. He is quite intelligent, but his arrogance often overshadows this. He spent time in jail for stealing from a local convent.

Highlights
- The thing in his life that he is most proud of is Maplin, his left arm. Austin believes that Maplin is the most beautiful arm in creation.
- Austin got married in Book IV, Act II, to Lucy Angel. Unfortunately she was murdered on their wedding day.
- In Book III, Act VII, after diving into the vat of Louis XVI brandy, Austin's right arm became almost as beautiful as his left, and he named it Serendipity.
